Gary Young is an award winning theatre director and writer. He is the author and illustrator of the children’s book series More Than Two.
More Than Two is a charming book of poetry to teach children the fun of collective nouns (think a gaggle of geese or a tower of giraffes). Inventive and imaginative, it is designed to be read to children to enhance their language skills, attune the ear to rhythms and word play, while at the same time providing a lot of fun for both children and adults.
NOW AVAILABLE - The second book in the series - More Than Two - Under The Sea.
We have all heard of a school of fish and a pod of whales - but have you heard of a battery of barracudas, a myth of mermaids or a tangle of octopi?
Gary builds on his experience as an actor and theatre director. As an actor he appeared in the first Australian production of Les Miserables. He co-wrote the acclaimed Sideshow Alley, and takes this theatrical experience into the world of childrens’ books and musicals, such as the Australian national tour of his adaptation of Wombat Stew.
